Bluecoat, Liverpool

Bluecoat’s recent programme of exhibitions has looked at alternative approaches to education, the history of the gallery building as a school as well as working with artists who develop projects with children as their intended audience. In response to the theme of “Talking with Children” speakers Marie-Anne McQuay, Bluecoat Head of Programme; Heather Jones, Exhibition Manager of Kunsthall Stavanger Norway; Polly Brannan, artist and curator; Mick Marston, illustrator and Julian Woods, educator, presented their recent projects and discussed the benefits of creating works with, for and in response to, children.
