Middlesbrough Institute of Modern Art

The inaugural event in the What We Talk About When We Talk About Work series of public discussions took the theme of ‘Rethinking the Institution’. The participants in the event explored the potential to establish alternative structures for supporting and engaging with contemporary art practices. Speakers included Miguel Amado, Senior Curator at Middlesbrough Institute of Modern Art; Binna Choi, Director of Casco, Utrecht; and artists Maurice Carlin and Emily Hesse.
